Benjamin Šeško Unveiled as Manchester United’s New Striker Alongside Matheus Cunha & Bryan Mbeumo
Manchester United have officially announced and unveiled Benjamin Šeško before the start of their pre-season friendly today. The Slovenian sensation, joined by Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo, forms a brand-new attacking trio that promises fireworks for the upcoming season.
This is a real statement of intent from United. Šeško, widely regarded as one of Europe’s hottest young strikers, was strongly tipped to join Newcastle just days ago. However, once United entered the race, the deal moved at lightning speed.
Speaking after signing for the Red Devils, Šeško said:
“The history of Manchester United is obviously very special but what really excites me is the future. When we discussed the project, it was clear that everything is in place for this team to continue to grow and compete for the biggest trophies again soon.
From the moment I arrived, I could feel the positive energy and family environment the club has created. It is clearly the perfect place to reach my maximum level and fulfil all of my ambitions. I cannot wait to start learning from Ruben [Amorim] and connecting with my teammates to achieve the success we are capable of together.”
David Ornstein first broke the news, reporting:
In a twist of transfer fate, United had been heavily linked with Viktor Gyökeres all summer, while Šeško was reportedly close to joining Arsenal. Yet in the end, the two strikers swapped expected destinations — Gyökeres heading to Arsenal, Šeško to United.
The opening Premier League clash between Arsenal and Manchester United now promises to be a blockbuster: Gyökeres vs Šeško — a battle of new super-strikers right from matchday one
