Liverpool All-In for Isak After Newcastle Reject €120M Offer

Liverpool’s €120M Bid for Alexander Isak Rejected as Newcastle Hold Firm – Reds Preparing €140M Offer

Liverpool submitted a €120 million bid plus add-ons for Newcastle United striker Alexander Isak. Talks between the two Premier League clubs have begun, but Newcastle quickly turned down the offer. They value Isak at €150 million.

David Ornstein reported that Liverpool’s initial approach was informal. However, their latest bid marked their first official and firm offer. Newcastle declined it. The club offered Isak a new long-term contract with a release clause starting in 2026. Senior players also urged him to stay. Still, Isak wants to join Liverpool.

“Newcastle reject official bid from Liverpool for Alexander Isak. Initial approach informal – now firm Liverpool offer & turned down. Newcastle suggested new deal with 2026 release clause + senior team-mates pushed 25yo to stay but wants move,” reported Ornstein.”

Newcastle’s Striker Dilemma Deepens

Newcastle hesitate to sell Isak because they lack a reliable replacement. The striker situation is tense. One of their top targets, Benjamin Šeško, now seems set to join Manchester United. That leaves Newcastle without a clear option.

Isak wants to move, but Newcastle refuse to let him go until they secure a replacement. They’ve started pursuing alternatives like Ollie Watkins (Aston Villa), Rodrigo Muniz (Fulham), and Yoane Wissa (Brentford).

Liverpool Ready to Break the Bank

Liverpool already signed Hugo Ekitike earlier this window. Still, they now plan to go all-in for Isak with a €140 million bid. That amount may be too big for Newcastle to reject. If successful, Isak would become one of the most expensive players in Premier League history.

What This Means for Both Clubs

  • Liverpool would gain a top-class striker and boost their attacking options.
  • Newcastle could lose their main forward and weaken their top-four hopes.

However, a €140 million deal could fund key reinforcements.

This transfer saga isn’t over yet. Liverpool are pushing hard for Isak, and Newcastle may not hold out for much longer.
