Alexander Isak Wants Liverpool Move – Rejects Saudi and Premier League Rivals
Fabrizio Romano has reported that “Alexander Isak wants Liverpool, it’s his priority. No talks with Al Hilal, Chelsea, or Manchester United.”
The Swedish striker, regarded as one of the most prolific forwards in world football, has set the transfer market on fire ever since it became clear that he is open to leaving Newcastle United. Naturally, this revelation has sparked interest from top clubs across Europe and beyond.
Liverpool – Isak’s Preferred Destination
According to recent reports, Isak has his sights firmly set on joining Liverpool, the reigning Premier League champions. He has reportedly rejected several lucrative offers from the Saudi Pro League, indicating his desire to continue competing at the highest level in Europe.
Adding fuel to the speculation, Isak has made himself unavailable for Newcastle’s pre-season fixtures, amid rumors that he is demanding a staggering £300,000-per-week wage to sign a new contract. If the Magpies fail to meet his demands, Isak is prepared to hand in a transfer request.
Despite already splashing out £95 million to sign Hugo Ekitike, Liverpool remain frontrunners in the race for Isak’s signature.
Eddie Howe Speaks on Isak’s Situation
Newcastle manager Eddie Howe addressed the growing uncertainty surrounding his star striker:
“Of course, there are things going on behind the scenes. He will be aware he’s in the news every day, and I’m sure that’s not easy for anyone in that situation,” Howe told reporters.
*“Conversations that happen between Alex and the club, or Alex and myself, will stay private for obvious reasons. We do share a really good relationship with him.
He’s been magnificent for us since he joined. He’s very popular in the dressing room, and we’d love him to continue his journey at Newcastle.”*
Newcastle Set Price Tag, Target Sesko
Newcastle are reportedly demanding £120 million for Isak if Liverpool want to seal the deal. Meanwhile, the club has already started planning for life without him, with Benjamin Šeško emerging as their top replacement target. Viktor Gyökeres, once on their radar, has already joined Arsenal this summer.
Liverpool’s Deadly Attack Taking Shape
If Liverpool secure Isak, their summer transfer window would arguably be the best in Europe. With new signings like Florian Wirtz, Hugo Ekitike, Jeremie Frimpong, and Milos Kerkez, the Reds would boast one of the most lethal attacking lines in football.
A front three of Isak on the left, Ekitike through the middle, and Mohamed Salah on the right would strike fear into any defense in Europe.
